Airynaa
Tannberg has spent much of her career in the
health and corporate sector. In the late 1980s with her husband
Carsen, Airynaa
decided to create a new life in Australia. After setting up a successful
Clinic with her husband in Wollongong, NSW, the
opportunity arose, encouraged by her husband, to pursue her lifelong dream
of becoming an artist. In 1999 she received her Diploma in Fine Arts from
TAFE and soon after studied at the School of Colour & Design in Sydney.
Her first solo exhibition in
Wollongong, New South Wales in 2002 set the stage for her successes to date.
This first exhibition was the catalyst for approaching a number of
successful galleries who soon were eager to display her works. She has also
received several awards for her paintings.
In
2003 she was invited to exhibit in the Salek
Mink Art Exhibition in Perth, renown over the years as being the Art Show on
the WA calendar. All pieces were purchased on the opening night being the
most successful artist of the exhibition. The following year in Perth,
Airynaa was invited to be the major exhibitor of
the highly successful art show, “Autumn Art in Garden”, another resounding
success.
Airynaa
has a unique technique of combining acrylic with collage on canvas to give
her paintings more dimension and texture. The contemporary works are created
with vivid and harmonious colours which attract the viewer and create a
sense of seduction and enjoyment. Her paintings have become popular with
audiences and are represented in private and corporate collections in
Australia and overseas.
Her works are represented in
galleries in country New South Wales, Sydney, Margaret River & Perth,
Western Australia, and overseas.
